Things to do

Marine World

The marine world is set in a large wrecked ship. If you love sea life, then you will thoroughly enjoy the walk through the old ship where you can enjoy numerous shark tanks as well as other tropical fish. For those who are a bit more adventurous, there is the opportunity to scuba dive in one of the the large tanks with the fish, or get lowered into a shark tank (in a cage of course!)

Water park:

The water park will keep the kids busy all day (and of course the kid inside all of us adults). There are numerous rides and water flumes, as well as a couple of large swimming pools. And of course, a long lazy river which trails it's way around the entire park, including past one of the shark tanks. You can simple grab a tube, and sit in it as it takes you down the river, relaxing in the sun as you go.

The beautiful thing is that you are most likely to be able to enjoy it all in warm water! The South African sun will make sure you don't have to travel the lazy river in cold water.

Dolphin / seal shows

As if all that was not enough, Throughout the day you can enjoy dolphin shows as well as seal displays in the specially designed show area. Kids and adults will be amazed to see the dolphins interact with the trainers, swimming and jumping for your amusement.

a relaxing day

If you prefer to wander around the shops while the kids play, you will not be disappointed at Ushaka. Whether you want clothes, Souvenirs, food, mobile phones you will find them here. Many name brands including surfer brands like Quicksilver, Roxy and others are all available.

If you stay for lunch or dinner, there is plenty to eat. Of course, Seafood restaurants abound, but there are also steak houses. If you don't mind paying a little extra, you can eat dinner with a shark staring at you through a thick glass plate in the restaurant situated within the wrecked ship. of course you won't know if he is staring at your food or thinking of YOU as his food! But eating next to the sharks is an experience you will remember.

Walk along the beach

After all that, if you want to relax a little, there is always a walk along the beach with an ice cream!

I hope you enjoy your visit to Ushaka Marine world. It will be one of the highlights of your visit to Durban, South Africa
