Reviews Of Isla Blanca RV Park South Padre Island TX
We love to go Camping and Isla Blanca in South Padre Island was one of my favorite campsites. After crossing the 2 1/2 mile Queen Isabella Memorial Bridge over the Laguna Madre Bay – We were impressed with the engineering that went into its construction and enjoyed the fantastic views of the bay. We parked our camper unpacked and we were off to the beach. The ease of access and cleanliness of the beach was impressive. The inviting warm gulf waters gave me the much needed therapy of getting away from it all. The sound of the surf and sea gulls offered peace and tranquility.
We swam in the warm gulf waters, beach-combed for sea shells, chased after crabs, got down and dirty in the sand like children and built sandcastles.
As the the sunset we made our way back to the RV campsite, grilled the all American tradition of BBQ, hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill…. The nearby campers invited us to a party and we sat around the campfire laughing and telling stories as we got to know each other.
What a beautiful day!
We went downtown and enjoyed fresh seafood at Cap'n Roy's. -- there are over 79 restaurants on South Padre Island. We shopped at several beach shops, played at Schlitterbahn, drove down Ocean Blvd past the city and parked on the beach to enjoy the night sky and pointed out a few shooting stars.
We took the family to Dolphin Research and Sea Life Nature Center and had great time looking at the starfish and hermit crabs in the the touch tanks. For an extra fee you can hop on a boat for a Dolphin Tour.
The boardwalk on the Laguna Madre Nature Trail, was one of my favorite things to do. This trail starts at the South Padre Island Convention Center takes you out to the Laguna Madre wetlands. There are over 300 species of birds that can be enjoyed at the Laguna Madre Nature Trail. This trail is open 24 hours a day and is free to the public.
I hope you and your family will enjoy this RV Campsite as much as we did.
