The St. Paul Winter Carnival
Minnesotans Have Fun, Even In The Winter
Even in Minnesota, where temperatures can get as cold as -30 F, we still know how to have a good time in the winter. We're a hardy breed up here, and we've adapted to the harsh weather by creating our own carnival. It's called the St. Paul Winter Carnival, and, if you can handle the temperatures, you can have a great time. It's usually held the last week of January through the first week of February. There's ice sculpting, a parade, a treasure hunt, and even a medallion hunt. We have winter royalty, and we even give out prizes for the winners of the ice sculpting, treasure hunt, and medallion hunt. It might be cold up here, but that doesn't mean you can't have a good time.
