As summer is approaching, temperature is inching upwards. Kids in school are already in the mode of thinking and planning their summertime fun. It is also time for parents to start make plans for the summer break. Of course there are a lot of outdoor activities that are suitable for kids to do in summer, but the most fun activities in summer has to do with things that will also cool you down at the same time - water.

Raging Water Park, California's largest water park with many fun and thrill rides that are age appropriate, is the perfect place for a cool summer for everyone. If you're coming with young kids, there are designated places for babies and toddlers. Older kids and teenagers will enjoy all those thrilling high-speed slides. Endless River is perfect for everyone to relax and enjoy a slow water ride. Raging Water Park is located right next to Lake Cunningham Regional Park and you take the same entrance as Lake Cunningham Regional Park for parking. There are two entrances: one is on White Road between Cunningham Ave and Tully Road, the other is on Tully Road between White Road and E Capitol Expy. Once you've paid for the parking, there will be signs to guide you to Raging Water Park.

Tube Slide - slide through mysterious darkness and plumment into the water. It fits two people. (Guests under 48" must be accompanied by an adult.)
Blue Thunder/White Lightning
Body Slide - Fast twists and turns. It's for individual.
Bombs Away
Body Slide - Plummet straight down toward the ground in an enclosed capsule

--- Activies for All Ages ---

If you want to do something different from the rides or slides, you can climb cargo nets and shoot water cannons at Pirate's Cove, or feel the tidal wave in the Wave Pool. I love to relax floating down the Endless River as my kids are swimming and playing alongside me. Just keep in mind that for safety concerns, all guests under 48" are required to wear a life jacket and be within arms reach of their parents.

--- Food and Parking ---

As with many other amusement parks, Raging Water Park offers fast food and drinks and you are only allowed to bring in a bottle water. If you prefer to bring your own food, keep your food inside a cooler in your car. Just remember to have your hand stamped on your way out the park so that you can go back in after you're done eating.

Parking is $6 during weekdays and $10 on holidays and weekends.

--- Golf and Water Slides ---

If you don't want to be in the water all the time, Emerald Hills Golfland is a perfect place to go. Emerald Hills Golfland is not just a place for kids to play golf. Beside providing two different 18-hole miniature golf courses, kids can also enjoy three awesome water slides and an Indoor Arcade with over 75 Arcade games. It is one of the most popular places for birthday parties during summertime because of its high level of entertainment and reasonable prices. You can purchase tickets online through their website. Golfland provides you with golf ball and club, but you'll need to bring your own swimming suit and towel.

--- Food and Parking ---

We have been to Emerald Hills Golfland for several times, including our kids' birthday parties, attending their friends' birthday parties, and school field trips. It is a lot of fun getting heated up by playing golf, then cooling down by sliding down the windy water slides, but the draw back there is the food. They only offer pizzas with soft drink and there are very few choices for you to pick from. If you have a party, they will help keep your cake in a refrigerator until you need it and there will be tables reserved exclusively for your party.

If you prefer to eat something other than pizza, You can go to one of the restaurants nearby. Emerald Hills Golfland is situated a couple of blocks from Westfield Mall. There are plenty of good restaurants there including an Italian restaurant Buca di Beppo.

There is a free parking lot with plenty of parking spaces right by the main entrance. However, if you're planning on driving there during weekends, you might want to arrive early because the parking lot could easily be filled very quickly.
