Tech Savvy Traveling
For most popular traveling agencies, technology has been a way for consumers to easily book a flight, find a hotel, and even look for a restaurant to enjoy a good meal.
Before apps and smartphones came into the picture, people had to look for a travel agency and once they found one, they had to either call the agency and talk to a customer care specialist or physically get in their car, drive to the agency and have a face to face conversation with someone.
You were able to find out what flights were going to your destination and the best hotels to stay at for a good price. Now that we have smartphones and apps, traveling has gotten easier to plan because everything the consumer needs is in their hand. Traveling apps have three things that make it easier to plan a trip.
For starters, as I stated earlier, everything a traveler needs is on their smartphone. If they need something translated or they need to find a café or a museum, they don't have to worry about buying translating books and reading maps.
All you have to do is Google something and your answer pops up in front of you. It doesn't get more convenient than that. The consumer can even call a friend back home to update them on how their trip is doing.
Another thing that makes traveling apps stand out from other traveling agencies is that they offer a better customer experience.
Everyone has had to call the customer service number of some company and be put on hold for anywhere between thirty seconds and ten minutes. Maybe an hour. What makes traveling apps better is that all the information the consumer needs to know is right there on their phone so there are no hoops to jump through just to find out if their flight is delayed.
Lastly, traveling apps save your previous searches and use them to give the consumer more relevant information.
This cuts trip planning time in half and makes it much more convenient for someone who travels constantly to book their trip without repeatedly giving the same information. In closing, technology has made it very convenient for a traveler to plan their trip without any hassle.
If a company wanted to stand out, they would have to implement some of these advantages so they could be ahead of the competition.
