Racing at the Track is intense to say the least. The race can be seen outside from the bleachers or from the restaurant tables on the inside looking at the race out the window.

Dog Track

The Birmingham Race Course has great live grey hound dog racing They always serve great food and drinks. One of my really good friends used to be a Culinary Chef here. The music is played loud and it stays open until the last patron leaves. Pool tables, dart boards and a small dance floor encompasses the first floor along with a bar and live bands on the weekends. This always attracts a crowd to the different activities that can be found to do here.

The second floor is a large restaurant and the window seating for watching the Greyhound racing. Also, in the summer time the bleachers are open for watching the races outside. Television sets are set up all across the race track premises so that dog, horse racing and all other sports are on the air every second.

It is a lot of fun to go out at night to the dog track with a group of friends, or just hanging out with the guys, or maybe there's a large group of gals just looking for something different. Also, the dog track is a great place to go on a date. There used to be some gaming machines but, I believe they have since been removed.

While at the dog track, there is a putting range for golf. You can get a basket of balls and get ready to have some fun. A frisbee golf course is available for everyone. So, bring your frisbees and get ready to play. Concerts and other events such as boxing are held on the first floor throughout the year. Honestly, it is really large and you never know who is gonna rent the first floor.

The nightclub atmosphere is amazing and simulcasts take place every hour of different sporting events such as football, basketball, horse racing and of course, the greyhounds. The Club is huge and it can be rented for special events. Boxing, UFC, music concerts and many other events occur at this facility year round. This is a great local place to go if you like this kind of entertainment.

The atmosphere is relaxed and except for special events entry is free to all. Betting on the hounds is low as two dollars to do just for fun. You can be served food such as appetizers, or if you are hungry, they have a great menu. They also serve drinks and alcoholic beverages at your table while you watch live greyhound racing. Several couches and reclining chairs are situated around the television areas for watching sporting events in comfort.

Whether you enjoy gambling or not, it's still fun to enjoy the music and the scene and of course let loose. There is plenty of room for hundreds of people to mix and mingle without even bumping into each other. If you haven't been to the dog track you should try it sometime. If you are a person that enjoys music and watching dog races then this is a place that would be very enjoyable to you.

With the racetrack being located in Birmingham, it is just a short drive for co-workers to get together after work to wind down and have a few drinks, while watching the games on the big screen.

Frisbee Golf at The Race Course

i don't know anyone who wouldn't enjoy playing a round of disc golf on the course. The idea is based on your ability to throw the frisbee into the basket in the woods at designated areas.

You can play against your partner and depending on the PAR on that particular "hole", will determine how many throws you are supposed to throw to make each frisbee in the basket. If you have never played frisbee golf, I think that you are missing out. It's just a little bit different game but, very fun and it gets you up and out of the house and moving. You can play on your own or against an opponent or you can even play in teams. At each frisbee golf course that I have been on, it has been in the most beautiful scenery.

This is very fun game to play with your family and friends!! The more the merrier!

Fun: Year Round

The Birmingham Race Course is open 365 days a year. Every Friday and Saturday Night, The Quincy Club is open on the first floor of The Race Course. It is the largest nightclub in Alabama. It has a large dance floor, 2 bars.

It has a stage that houses the events. This is just a great attraction for this area. The club rocks hard on Friday and Saturday nights with the loud music and sometimes with live bands some of which have been known musical groups. Also, boxing and mixed martial arts have been staged on the area right next to the dance floor. There's always something happening at the track so, if you are ever in Birmingham, Alabama, give it a try.

The bottom floor which holds the bar and the dance floor is re-done for boxing and MMA. They move all the pool tables out and the dance floor is converted with the ring put in the center.

One thing nice about The Race Course is that they are open minded and hosts a wide range of concerts and other events each and every year.
