The Yankee Candle Flagship Store is fun for all ages. Not only does it have a whole room filled with stuffed animals and candy to purchase, but surprises are in store for all as they wander through different areas of the attraction. There is an enchanting Black Forest area where pines trees abound, and the snow falls intermittently all day long, even in summer months. It's a fun experience for children and adults alike. Visitors can continue following the path to the Bavarian Christmas Village. Inside the village, where baskets of Christmas tree ornaments are for sale, visitors feel as though they are inside a village in Germany in the Winter. Facades of homes with glowing candles in the windows are all around with a gazebo in the middle. There is even a Glockenspiel Tower which makes the village appear more authentic. Continue along to the Nutcracker's Castle with a running water moat and King and Queen's thrones to sit in and have a picture taken. Collectors of Department 56 Christmas Villages will be delighted to see displays of all the villages in another room and check out the merchandise for sale from that wonderful company. Displays are set up so collectors can see the buildings and figures they are missing to add to their collection.
Continuing along the path one will come to Santa's Toy Factory, where young ones can sometimes be fortunate enough to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. And they can always watch the animated elves at work. In the center of this flagship store, one will find the Candle Mountain Lodge and the Kringle Market which houses many Christmas tree ornaments in various styles displayed on carts and in various smaller rooms along the side of the larger public area. Here you will find a snack bar from which to buy sandwiches and delectable fudge and bakery treats and have a seat at one of the many tables. For your musical enjoyment, you will be entertained here by an animated country band of musicians who put on a show every 15 minutes. It's a wonderful treat for the kids.
Continuing on tour, you won't want to miss the Candle Emporium where for a small fee, children and adults can dip their own candles. There is also a Yankee Candle Home Store in this area which has on display everything for the home including furniture, home accents, bath accessories, lamps, art, and kitchen supplies and delicious gourmet foods such as syrups and jellies to purchase and take home to enjoy.
