Updated on August 29, 2012

Things To Do In Koh Samui

Up until about 10 years ago, the tropical island of Koh Samui was really only visited by a few backpackers.  Now, this cosmopolitan melting pot attracts visitors from around the world that often stay months at a time in beach side bungalows and luxury resorts.  Koh Samui, also referred to as the "Coconut Tree Island," is the largest island in Thailand.

Koh Samui Diving

Blue, warm clear water provides the ideal diving environment to enjoy the underground paradise that is packed full of amazing marine life. Even beginner divers can enjoy themselves here by taking one of the many available accredited dive courses.

Depending on location, the water has a visibility range of 3 to 30 feet. For experienced divers, Ang Thong National Marine Park and Sail Rock offers some of the best deep sea dives in the world.

Koh Samui Snorkeling

The biggest attraction to Koh Samui is the amazing snorkeling. The island peaks meet with the currents of the ocean to create phenomenal sandbar beaches. Lagoons of warm emerald green water are surrounded by mountains for a truly unforgettable experience. The magical coral that is there waiting to be explored will make you want this spot to be your home away from home.
