The communities of Centerville, Niles, Irvington, Mission San Jose, and Warm Springs were merged to form Fremont on January 23, 1956. The city of Fremont has an estimated population of 214,089 (according to the 2010 US Census). This makes it the 15th most populous city in California. Named in the honor of “The Great Pathfinder” John Charles Frémont, the city of Fremont is located in Alameda County. Fremont is considered the “Tree City” due to over 55,000 trees which adorn the sidewalks and various spots in the city, making it green and eco-friendly. The economy in Fremont is backed by companies such as Corsair, Volterra Semiconductors, Ikanos Communications and Antec Inc. Fremont offers a variety of attractions and activities to both tourists and locals alike. Here are the top 5 things to do in Fremont, California:

The artists are extremely professional and a creative group, known to bring alive any story they play, with every emotion etched on their faces. 4. Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum
Charlie Chaplin is considered the pioneer of comedy. What is so interesting however is he made his masterpieces where the Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum is located today. Shows are still organized here today, which displays the true beauty of silent films, relying on emotions and expressions, rather than words – an art form that has continued through generations.

5. Iceoplex
