Garden Grove, commonly known as the “Big Strawberry”, was founded by Alonzo Cook in 1984. The city of Garden Grove has an estimated population of 170,883 (according to the 2010 US Census). This makes Garden Grove the 25th most populous city in California. Today it houses the 2nd largest Vietnamese community in the World. Garden Grove hosts the annual Strawberry Festival, which attracts over 250,000 visitors each year and is a tribute to the rich agricultural past of the city. Garden Grove offers a variety of attractions and activities to both tourists and locals alike. Here are the top 5 things to do in Garden Grove:

1. Crystal Cathedral
Some cathedrals radiate peace, others magnificence. Crystal Cathedral seems to be rich on both. The Crystal Cathedral was founded in 1955 by Robert H. Schuller. The cathedral is an architectural marvel, consisting of 10,000 glass panes, yet the structure is designed to withstand the most severe earthquakes. An interesting fact is that the cathedral is under the ownership of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange. The Crystal Cathedral also houses the 5th largest organ in the world, the sound from which is an intoxicant for the ears.

2. Azteca
A good meal is best accompanied by good music, and this is how the Azteca family serves the visitors. The Azteca aims to please the taste-buds and ears with their mouth-watering meals and vibrant music. The Azteca captures an Elvis Presley theme and is therefore bustling with people at all time. The Carne Asada is a hit and worth trying. Make it a point to visit Azteca on Friday or Saturday - something special awaits you.

3. Gem Theater
The Gem Theater is an old theater dating back to the 1930s, but that is precisely what makes it so magical. The Gem Theater is always brimming with exciting entertainment. The Gem Theater is packed with excellent lights and sound system. In the 158 comfortable seats, visitors can relax and enjoy the entertainment while being served delicious entrées on the platter.
