Orange Beach: Water Adventures and the Nightlife
The beach is just a wonderful place for fun with your friends and family. Use a little imagination and you can make memories that will last a lifetime. There is so much to do in Orange Beach, whether you are going to the beach, the pool, snorkeling or deep sea fishing and parasailing. you are guaranteed to have a great time.
The beach can be used to as a place for many fun activities. Some games that you can participate in would be badminton, volleyball, Frisbee. Orange Beach has several cabanas that can be rented so that you have a little bit of shade. The scene is beautiful and there is a huge pier that goes out over the ocean. The pier has lights that go up and down it so, at night, it is all lit up. This is located in the park area.
It is also fun to take a tent and set it up on the beach especially if you are in a group. Bring the coolers filled with drinks and bring the beach chairs, beach umbrellas and don't forget the sunscreen. It is also fun to have a source of music that can crank out the tunes while you are soaking in those rays. Floats for the ocean and shovels and buckets to make sand castles for the kids are a great way to spend a day at the beach. Bring your blankets and towels to sit on the sand. Get ready to enjoy the sun and sand.
There are picnic areas, showers, bathrooms in the public park area. Once again, don't forget there is a four hundred foot pier that is a great place to walk out over the ocean and take in the scenes. You can also fish off the pier and you never know what you will catch in the ocean's waters.
To keep from going to the room from the beach, make some sandwiches and tuck in the cooler with the drinks. This really makes me want to leave right now for the beach. There are always events and concerts that keep the beach fun day and night whether its spring or summer.
Adventure Island Amusement Park has go karts, bumper boats, put-put golf, laser tag and a ride that is a volcano that spews out ash and your can actually feel the vibrations.
The Wharf has tremendous shopping and restaurant experiences as well as the largest Ferris Wheel in the south. This facility also houses an amphitheater where major acts will come and perform throughout the year. Many events appear behind The Wharf on the coast. Do not miss the annual boat and yacht show which brings in people from all across the country.
Dolphin cruise tours are offered at various places up and down the beach. These tours guarantee that you will see dolphins. While on this tour you are taught to cast a net and catch the fish for the dolphins. On some of these tours, you are allowed to touch the dolphins.
Deep sea fishing excursions are sometimes offered with the purchase of your room. These trips can be booked when you get down to the beach if you are not going down to the beach during peak season. Our particular room that I stayed in with my family offered one free admission which was perfect because no one in my family wanted to go so, I packed a lunch, a container of antibacterial wipes, napkins and a drink. I also packed some seasickness medication in case I needed it. It turns out that I did not need it. It was a great experience and one I would have missed out on if I had decided no to go because I was going alone. It was a great fishing experience and the couple that I met while fishing, I still keep in touch with his wife.

Glass Bottom Boats
Personally, I can not surf but, I love the ocean nonetheless. Swimming, jumping in the waves, body boarding and deep sea fishing. But a glass bottom boat ocean tour is an awesome spectacle indeed. You can walk down a set of stairs down the boat 15 feet under the sea standing on clear glass under you and around you. Sharks, squids, corrals, shells, sword fish and all kinds of other unique visuals await you on a trip below the ocean's service.
The fact that you can be so close to the sea life but, be safe and not have to get wet is nice. This is great for couples to do together. You need to make sure that the glass bottom boat tour that you take really has a larger glass bottom.
It's also fun relaxing in the sun getting a tan while you cruise the boat out to sea. The captain will cast nets out to the ocean and pull up all sorts of fish and describe them before your very eyes. My family didn't check out our glass bottom boat before the trip and our glass bottom was not big enough to see anything. Make sure that the next time your vacationing in Orange Beach check out one of these tours.
