Things to do when visiting Lake Geneva Wisconsin

Updated on April 30, 2012

Lake Geneva Wisconsin is a beautiful area to spend time away and relax or enjoy some recreational activities with or without the kiddies. I live about 10 miles from here so I enjoy the scenery and shopping often!

There are many things to do in Lake Geneva, browse unique shops in the downtown area, bring or rent a boat or personal watercraft, snowmobiling, skiing, hiking, biking, or just spend some time
relaxing on the beach on the shores of gorgeous Geneva Lake to name a few.

Geneva Lake 21 Mile Shoreline Walking Path

There's a 21 mile Geneva Lake walking path that allows hikers to walk through the yards of century old mansions. Don't forget your camera, you'll get some amazing shots of the area!

Mountain Top at Grand Geneva Resort

Skiing and snowboarding on over fifteen challenging slopes.

Grand Geneva Resort

Enjoy a relaxing experience at the newly renovated spa or one of many dining options, while an indoor waterpark and kid’s program offer the excitement kids crave. Enjoy a group bonfire at the horse stables, a fast plunge down a ski hill, a serene walk through the trails or a drive down a fairway on two championship golf courses.

Aerial Adventures

Zip lines, climbing towers, high and low ropes course, and bicycle rental. Open seven days a week with tours beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Lake Geneva Shopping

Antiques, fine art, latest styles & trends, unique and eclectic gifts.

The downtown area boasts many unique shops and restaurants, as well as some favorites like Starbucks and Cold Stone Creamery.

Boat Tours on Geneva Lake

Enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes that have made Lake Geneva Cruise Line famous while you relax aboard one of the many scenic narrated tours.

Daily tours include your choice of Geneva Bay Tour, Full Lake Tour, Sundowner Cruises, Ice Cream Social, or US Mailboat Tour.

Yes, a mailboat tour!

There are a variety of hotels and motels in the area. From Grand Geneva Resort to Comfort Suites with prices to fit any budget. I've stayed at Grand Geneva Resort, it's a spectacular place with a small indoor waterpark and many other amenities. I highly recommend it.

Lake Geneva Wisconsin is an area that is rich in history, site seeing, nature, shopping, and hundreds of other activities. Whether you've been here a hundred times or never, there's always something new to experience.

While you're visiting the city of Lake Geneva, on the opposite side of the lake is Fontana, WI. Fontana has one of the nicest beaches on Geneva Lake! Definitely worth a visit!
