Welcome to India

Apart from its bountiful natural beauty, rich flora and fauna, India has a rich amalgamation of various cultures and heritage; making it one of the most favored holiday destinations among world travelers. Inspite of the economic slowdown worldwide, in 2012 India earned 18 billion dollars from more than 7 million foreign visitors. Till November, 2013 India's FEE(Foreign Exchange Earning) increased by around 7.3% if compared to November, 2012. Despite this influx of foreign visitors every year, very few regard India as an ideal place for romantic getaways and honeymoon destination because of its supposedly conservative environment. Nevertheless, India can boast of some really gorgeous and stunning locales that can make it one of the most sought-after Romantic Holiday Destinations of the world.

What does two people in love want from a perfect romantic vacation they desire to spend with each other? Coziness, solitude, peace, serenity and of course a lot of passion. They want a perfect vacation that will leave them speechless and craving for more. The exquisite happiness that they receive leaves a permanent impression on their minds which they want to cherish even after many years.

There are many such romantic getaways in India. Barring a few, I have traveled to almost all of them with my husband. Here I will discuss my top 5 favorite romantic tourist destinations in India that should never be given a miss.
