Why do most of us humans love the beach so much? It it the feeling of that cool summer breeze blowing over the 85 degree weather? The sound of seagulls and the feel of the mist spraying from the waves of the ocean? I of all people should know the answer to this question, considering that I live on an "island" all year round. However, when it comes to vacation, I would love to explore all of the tropical beaches and resorts that our planet has to offer, and I'm sure you would too!
The following is a Top 10 list (in no particular order) of the most beautiful tropical vacation destinations that you might want to learn more about for the time you put in for your next vacation.
1. The Virgin Islands
The United States Virgin Islands consists of 3 main islands including St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John. The islands are located between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The islands are known for their white sandy beaches, crystal blue waters, and tropical temperatures. The average temperatures in the summer (June through August) is about 86 degrees, while the average temperature in winter (December through March) is about 76 degrees. All of the beaches on the Virgin Islands are free with the exception of Magens Beach on St. Thomas. Snorkeling and fishing are one of the beloved hobbies to take up while visiting the Virgin Islands.
Bali is an Indonesian island located 8 degrees south of the equator. It is known for its lavish landscape including the chain of six volcanoes. The Commonwealth of The Bahamas is an independent country that consists of a total of 29 islands. It is located in the Atlantic ocean and it has a population of 330,000 residents. The temperature in the Bahamas can range from sub tropical to tropical. The temperature usually ranges from 70 degrees F to 89 degrees F. There are tons of activities in the Bahamas. Any thing from bird watching (109 different species), golfing, shopping, hiking, and more! There is never a dull moment in the Bahamas. Even if you are a night life kind of person - there are plenty of clubbing to be done at night!
Fiji is consists of a number of islands located in the South Pacific. There is a warm season (November through April) and there is also a cool season (May through October). Even through the cool season the temperature is still average around 72 degrees. Jeju is a volcanic island that was created completely from volcanic eruption that occurred over 2 million years ago. It is located off of the south coast of South Korea. The climate can feel very hot and heavy, but there is a constant cool breeze drifting through the air.
