Top 3 Things to Do in Tampa, FL
I recently moved to Tampa, FL a few months ago but I've been visiting the area for years now; by no means I'm an 'expert' about the area but I've been to quite a few places that were lots of fun which I'd like to share with you.
Tampa has a lot of recreational activities that aren't very expensive. I'd like to share my pick for the top three things to do in Tampa that won't break your budget and will be wildly entertaining for families, dates and individuals.
The Florida Aquarium
The Florida Aquarium is a bit small but it's very entertaining and is a fun place to visit when you're looking for things to do in Tampa.
For around $20 (per person), you can enjoy the best in Florida wildlife and ocean creatures from sharks, fish, birds and more.
You can spend an entire afternoon wandering around the Florida Aquarium which makes it perfect for a date or just another outing with friends or family.

Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo
My girlfriend and I visited the Lowry Park Zoo a few months ago and we had an absolute blast. The zoo is full of animals in their natural environments; our favorite was the ape exhibit which had dozens lounging in trees and playing with one another.
Tickets are about $24 for adults and $19 for children (along with options for senior discounts). We spent hours at the Zoo and took tons of pictures; it was a great day!
I highly recommend the Lowry Park Zoo for all ages. You'll have a blast going through each of the exhibits and have plenty of fun exploring the place especially if you love animals.

Tampa, FL is home of Busch Gardens - a theme park with TONS of roller coasters, rides, food and events. Busch Gardens is mainly focused around animals which makes it truly unique compared to a lot of the other theme parks in Florida - it's like a mix between a zoo and a park.
Tickets for Busch Gardens will run you about $70 - $85 but you also can get a second day free from your single purchase.
For a few more dollars, you can visit other parks owned by Busch Gardens which is a great deal if you're on vacation in Tampa or a resident here.
I've been to Busch Gardens a few times now and it's always getting better; it's the perfect place for thrill seekers because it has some of the best roller coasters in the world.
