The Top 3 Travel Gadgets

My Top 3 Travel Gadgets have three major aims in mind to not only keep you safe, but to give you the very best vacation. My top 3 travel gadgets aim to do the following things

  • Keep you safe
  • Help You Travel
  • Help you Explore a City
By covering these three simple bases these gadgets will help you explore the world, and get the very most out of it.

The iPhone

In some ways I hate myself for putting the iPhone in my top travel gadgets list. It seems too expensive and fragile to carry around, and yet at the same time it brings with it a huge range of benefits. Whether you want an audio tour guide or directions to your hotel, the iPhone can help you out.

While my favorite feature of the iPhone is iPhone guided tours, there are plenty of other great apps covering everything from a travel itinerary and airport maps, to GPS based culture advice to make sure you do not offend!

You can also get plenty of iPhone ports of the Lonely Planet Guide Book series!

You can get various incantations of this simple device, but the best way to stay safe is to carry a high decibel alarm device, most of these can quickly be activated in times of danger, and this will often scare off many muggers and assailants.

High pitch alarms are simply the most affordable and easy to use safety devices that you can use when traveling.

A Laptop Lock

These simple little gizmos are one of the best purchases I have ever made. I tend to travel and work at the same time, so it is nice to know I can go order another coffee or visit the restroom wherever I am, without worrying about somebody walking off with my hardware.

A Laptop lock is a simple but effective way to secure your notebook no matter where you are. This might not seem like a big deal to begin with, but if you travel with your notebook you will soon find it an essential part of your laptop accessory kit!
