#2 California

California is known for its great scenery and is also the home of Hollywood but there are some really awesome and cheap attractions for kids. Today, I will list a few. Travel town is a nice location for your little ones to enjoy. This free outdoor transportation museum is a family favorite with steam locomotives to love and a train to ride around the park. Bring your own trains to play at the train table in the big barn, or check out all the trains and train gear for sale at the gift shop this is the perfect place to hold a party, too. Check their events calendar for passenger car tours and Thomas the Train days, as well as other great activities.

Another great attraction for kids is Serenity Park Parrot Sanctuary located in West Los, Angeles, California on the grounds of V.A Medical Center. The park is a fun, and free, place to visit and even chat with some animals? Check out the raucous population of the Serenity Park Parrot Sanctuary at the Vets’ Garden at the Veterans Administration campus in Westwood. These rescued birds welcome visitors with tremendous pleasure, and in no time you may find yourself engaged in conversation with a new feathered friend. If you’re looking for quick and easy trip with the kids, look no further than this well-kept secret paradise.
