With such a big city its not easy to navigate yourself to eat in the best restaurant and what to see. Invest your time and see many places and areas in Mumbai, here is a list of top 5 places to visit in Mumbai. They are common places an not all the famous but you will definitely agree, they are worth the time to see.

Gateway of India

One of the most illustrious monuments in Mumbai, and its one of the top places to visit in Mumbai. It was started in 1915 and completed in 1924. It was built to welcome King George V and soon became the official place for governors in India. It's one of the popular tourist spots and looks alluring both during the day and in the evening. You can also visit or just see the Taj hotel from there which is at a walking distance from the Gateway.

Elephant caves

This place is visited by millions of tourists every year. The cave has many depictions and stories and it's divided into two groups – five for Hindu and two for Buddist.

3.Colaba causeway

Colaba causeway is a street that combines the traditional Indian market and art culture. It lives up to its reputation if the “culture square” of the city by providing various cultural experiences in one place. It’s a home to museums, art galleries, high end retail stores, a church, small shops and stalls among other attractions. You can see many eateries and roadside restaurants which line the street. The one that is very famous is the Cafe Mondegar with juke box and all. You can buy various things like antique jewelry, cosmetics, books, clothes and more.

The auditorium has bagged its name for itself by preserving and promoting India’s cultural and rich art traditions, since its inception in 1969. You can catch some cultural events at any time as it boasts more than 500 events annually.

And it's one of the place that offers good food too, especially if you look for Italian food. There are various cafe and one that is very popular is the safe Mocha.
