Travel USA 10 cool places to visit

Updated on December 07, 2015

Travel USA 10 great adventures ideas

I love this country it’s so beautiful and full of natural wonders and man made havens. I compiled a list of 10 places that I think everyone should try to visit. I tried to come up with places maybe you’ve never heard of but are defiantly worth the travel.

Here they are in no particular order.

1.I’m all for natural wonders and for your first destination might I recommend the Geysers in yellow stone national park in Wyoming. It is perhaps has the most famous geyser in the world, “old Faithful” as it’s called. It is one group of about two hundred actice geysers. Old faithful erupts every hour for about four minutes, it’s an amazing site.

For those who aren’t sure what a geyser is, it is a hole in the ground that shoots our steaming hot water from the ground. Some geyser shoot water hight into the sky and others just bubble and gurgle. Some geysers go off several times an hour or in a day and some are only active every few years or more.  So I recommend you take the kids to Yellowstone park, hey maybe you’ll even see Yogi Bear…LOL

2. In Colorado at a place called “MesaVerdeNational park an amazing architectural wonder can be found. Discovered by two cowboys in the late 1800’s is an abandoned houses carved into the side of a cliff. These apartment style homes had been long abandon but are believed to have been built by early Indians. This Cliff palace as it’s sometimes called is a unique and unlike any other place in north America. For what ever reason it was abandoned hundreds of years ago, it’s a great place to check out, just a bit of ancient ruins right here in your own backyard.

3. We have some beautiful natural wonders here in America, we have the grand canyon Niagara falls and in Oregon we have Crater lake. Scientist say thousands of years ago MountMazama exploded, sending rivers of lave gushing from the top. After being quiet for years the mountain finally trembled, cracked, and the edges of the crater fell into a big hole at the top. That is why some people say MountMazama swallowed its self. Now the crates is filled with clear blue water…it’s like looking  into gods bowl….There is a small village where your can find quaint places to stay and visit. There is a highway that runs around the lake, it’s a beautiful sight. Like something out of a fantasy movie. Guests can visit Crater LakeNational Park throughout the year. If you plan to visit Crater Lake in the winter, you might consider joining one of the ranger-led snowshoe walks. These walks are offered completely free of charge, though you will need to bring your own snowshoes. Each Saturday and Sunday at 1 pm from Thanksgiving until the end of March, the friendly rangers of Crater LakeNational Park take willing hikers around sections of the lake. The crater is located in Oregon at Crater LakeNational Park.

4. This next spot has got to be one of my favourites, Carlsbad caverns a collection more then 100 limestone caves including Lechuguilla Cave the nation’s deepest limestone cave(1,604 ft) and third longest (over112 miles). This is a sight to see, if your not squeamish about traveling under the earth. Caves are an amazing creation in nature, remember what's beneath our feet is just as important as what's above it. Take one of the year round tours learn how caves are formed, what lives in them and so much more. Caving is a lot like hiking underground so please take caution if you embark on a caving adventure.

5. As most Americans know California was the place to be during the gold rush. High in the mountains of eastern California in a hidden valley a town called Bodie was born when a wondering prospector discovered gold in 1859. People came from all over to find gold and small towns sprung up everywhere. The town of Bodie filled with thousands of people and eventually became known as a wicked place where robbers and thieves killed and fought for the gold. All that’s left today is a ghost town one of the few. Many of the town building still remain today, such as the church, stores, saloons, houses, post office and even the morgue. Bodie was once thriving with almost 10 thousand people now deserted it is a very cool and creepy place to visit.

6. Looking to go back in time and see some of the countries history, then you have to take your family to Mackinac Island between Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. On Mackinac Island there are no cars allowed, as soon as you get off the boat you get a horse and buggy or a bicycle. There are many places to visit on the island like Old fort Mackinac where British and American soldiers once fought to control the northwest territories. You can also visit The grand Hotel it use to be one of the largest summer hotels in the world. There are many sights and activities for the whole family on Mackinac Island, take your family back in time it’s defiantly an adventure worth checking out.

7. Another neat place to visit is a natural and man made is the graveyard of the Atlantic, or CapeHatteras. Many years ago on the very shores of North Carolina and Virginia Captain Black Beard sailed and attacked any ships that came into sight. They stole cargo and scared the local. On this very coast Black Beard was killed now it’s called Cape Hatteras Recreation Area. Along the shores of CapeHatteras the waters are shallow and have swallowed many of ships, to this day hundreds of ship wrecks lay on the sandy beaches. So to visit the place where black beard once ruled and then died and you want to see a graveyard of ships this is defiantly a cool place to take a vacation. And if you don’t care much about the ship wrecks the beach is just as fabulous on hot summer days.

8. In Oklahoma you can find an authentic IndianVillage. IndianCity is in the Tonkawa Hills near Anadarko Oklahoma. The Indians have built everything here from the grass houses to the fine art. Tours are held teaching about the customs of different tribes, Indian dances and feasts are held. Learn about their clothing, tools, musical instruments and more. Meet the ancestors of those who where here first see what life was like before big cities and stone houses. This is a very interesting place to visit, defiantly for the kids.

9. This next adventure may not be for everyone, I’m talk’n about heading south to the  vast and mysterious Okefenokee Swamp. The swamp stretches from Florida to Georgia. Visiting the Okefenokee swamp is like stepping into an exotic land. The swamps provide a refuge for thousands of plants and animal who find sanctuary in the many lakes, islands and wetlands. There is much mystery in the Okefenokee some say you can hear the echoes of ancient reptiles that once roamed, or perhaps still do. What ever you believe this place is magical yes it’s full of bugs, frogs and alligators, but it’s pure and raw beautiful nature.

However, visiting the swamp can be some what confusing. There is no one park you go to that offers the entirety of the Okefenokee experience. Visitors have four choices of parks, each with their own set of natural qualities and recreation opportunities. Three parks are located on the eastern side of the swamp, and one park is located on the south-western side. Because of the size of the swamp, visiting the full complement of parks requires some driving because one must travel around the perimeter of the wetland, which is larger than the interior of Interstate 285 or all the barrier islands of Georgia combined. The most popular activities in the swamp are sightseeing, boating, and fishing there are walking trails and a historic site and a nature museum. All  located around the swamps perimeter. This is defiantly and outdoorsmen adventure, and defiantly for the kids a great experience I totally recommend.

10. The final place I think everyone should visit is the Grand Canyon. I figured I should mention this one because it truly is a natural wonder of the world. Its depth and vast size are breath taking and makes you feel connected to the world like no other place. The Grand Canyon speaks history and engulfs your soul, it’s so beautiful and worth any effort it may take to see it. I also recommend if you are in a healthy state of life that you and your family should take some of the many tours both hiking rafting the river are fun and exhilarating. See one of the wonders of the natural world right here in the USA take you family and have some fun.

Remember it is important to spend time with the ones you love, and spending time together in places full of beauty and excitement makes life worth living. You don’t have to travel far from home either I bet you have some great places to visit right in your own neighbourhood. Explore your world and the world around you and bring those you love closer to you and you to them, enjoy life and see all it has to offer….Happy Times Y’all

A Pakistani film on the so called " Jihad "

Khuda Ke Liye (In the name of God) is the first film by Shoaib Mansoor and he has written, directed and produced the film. As a first film director, he shows great potential and film actually covers the areas which people belonging to other religions want to know about Islam.

How wrong interpretations of the old scriptures by Maulavis have affected the life of Islamic people, its shown by a simple narrative.

A muslim man in his youth may go to a western country like England and may live with or marry a English woman there but he does not allow his daughter to marry an English man because then all of a sudden Islam will come under the danger. After all these years of living in western facilities he is reminded of his roots. He is ready to cheat his own daughter. Her daughter, half british young woman, is married to a young Pakistani man, who has been hypnotized by poisonous preachings of a Maulavi.

Film has its moments and several scenes leave long lasting impact as they should leave when film deals with such subjects.

Three main characters and through their lives writer/directors tries to dig the role of Islam in present days life.

:- A young man, who has got modern days education, somehow gets influenced by a maulavi's ideology and hence starts conflict between this new hypnotized status and his hither-to modern life style. He is unable to follow any path completely and his existence becomes like two persons residing in same body. He is impressed with Maulavi's ideology but he is unable to follow violent route Maulavi is advocating. He is unable to follow religious fanaticism.

:- Another young man, A young muslim singer, can see clearly that his younger brother is going on a wrong path but he cant stop him as later has disapeared from the home. Elder brother is advocate of modern days reality based values. He goes to USA just before 11.09.2001 and there he falls in love with an American woman and she wants to marry him but he has reservations because she is not follower of Islam. She is ready to follow conversion but he is not ready to accept such sacrifice from her side as he thinks it will be done just under the heat of the passion and later this marriage will produce many problems before them like what religion their children will opt?

Somehow he is also unable to resist voice of his love and he surrenders before the present passion. 9/11 happens and he is detained by FBI because a neighbour finds a Sikh man fighting with him and calling him terrorist and she calls the police. He faces victimization by American authorities. But inspite of torture in American prison he tries to maintain his mind sane and balanced.

:- A young woman is there who has been cheated by her own father and has been married off to her cousin who has opted path of Jihad. She has not lost hope and its her fight also to come back in to the mainstream of life. She is not able to forget her lover left behind in Britain. But life is very strange and due to her captive status in a remote village she is able to encounter another kind of lives. She is able to see that life still flows amidst the guns, amidst the religious hate. She sees that people can laugh inspite of having no exposure to life outside their small village.

Small Girls ask her to teach them English as they think English makes good impression on others. When they find that their teacher has no plan to stay longer here then they innocently say," to tum bhag jana hum bina english ke hee kaam chala lenge (Ok then you pleasse escape and we can manage without learning English)". There is a laughter among women but can we laugh on this predicament? This is the most hitting moment in the film and film has some other powerful moments.

Film's beauty lies not in the performances but in the dialogues and the content. Being most experienced actor, Naseeruddin Shah plays very well the role of scholar of Islam who should be role model for all the Islamic people. Iman Ali, who plays the main female protagonist, impresses with her performance and though she starts bit slowly but soon engrosses the audience. Austin Marie Sayre, who plays American lover of elder brother, is also quite good rather it can be said that both the female actors are better in performances than their counterpart male actors. Fawd Khan, who plays the role of younger brother, who becomes Jehadi, also impresses.

Camera work is quite good and it captures the beauty of Afganistan and border areas of Pakistan and Afganistan. Music is good. Its first film of the director and shortcomings are bound to happen but film tries to cover the most desirable area of the present time and that's its USP.

Film has many beautiful moments which are usually present in a very good film and this film is not a closed film where you can feel that this is shown and that's the end. It creates a debate inside you and at so many places film takes turns which leaves audience stunned. Its not necessary that a film should always provide an answer but it should provide the opportunity so that questions are raised inside the mind of audience after watching or during the watching of the film and though film may not have great performances but its successful in creating questions inside the audience. It certainly fills the gap and non-Muslims may start seeing muslims as a living entity which also can discuss things which affect their lives and they also can dare to challenge old and outdated religious beliefs and they can also demand modern analysis of old scriptures.

Interaction between women in small village situated at Afgan border produces some good cinematic moments and brings films under category of good literature and woman protagonist's decision in the end creates a debate about life with a purpose or life for the sake of life. Phiolosohical take in the climax makes it a beautiful climax.

When people become part of a crowd then thinking ability is lost and such films divide again that crowd in to single inviduals as a man should be atleast in thinking ability. These mass views and collective views have been proving too dangerous for humanity and we have become habitual to treat and analyse whole communities with single criteria. At the end, one is an individual and film depicts that transition of humans that how they become part of crowd and how they again come back to realise about real issues of life.

Film is a daring attempt by Shoaib Mansoor. One must watch the film. Film should have proper release in India to open the eyes of knowingly blind people.

How to Watch Hulu Outside US71

      Hulu restricted

No Hulu for you I'm afraid

Watching Hulu from Outside the US

If you want to watch Hulu, there's one very important requirement - the computer you are browsing through must be located in the USA. That's right anywhere else and you are out of luck. The picture above will greet you as soon as you try and play any of the videos on the Hulu site.

So why can't I watch Hulu Outside the US ?

Well I'm not sure exactly the reason it's blocked but it's normally to do with licensing agreements and stuff like that. It's rather ironic though as most of the people who get blocked end up using torrent sites and illegal download websites. There are many ways of Geo-Targetting surfers but usually it is merely based on your IP address. Hulu will check the origin of your IP address and if it's from a Non-US range then you will be blocked.

So my IP Address restricts what I see ?

Absolutely I'm afraid what you can or can't do online is often dependent on your IP address. But it works in loads of different areas, for instance it's the reason you'll see different adverts from a PC in another country. IP address targeting is used to block people from watching the BBC Iplayer outside the UK, stops US players from accessing European Roulette sites - the list goes on and on. Fortunately the system can be tricked and there are options to stop this rather unfortunate IP address censorship that stops us watching Hulu outside the US.

So what's the Options for Watching Hulu ?

Well the usual trick to bypass this problem is to u

Well the usual trick to bypass this problem is to use anonymous proxies to block the web site from knowing where you are. So for example if you surf through an anonymous proxy based in the USA then it will look like you are based in the US. This method works to bypass 99% of Geo-Targeting restrictions as long as you have access to proxy server in the correct country.

check out a rafting outfitter that does tours on the canyon. The one I used was Western River expiditions. http://www.westernriver.com/ follow this link and check them out. they have a few options available. 4 day 6 day 8 day 10 day. But the cool thing is when you pull over for the night they cook you gormet meals like steak, pasta, lobster, serve appitizers and its pretty luxury for rafting in the canyon. I went with my 2 brothers had a blast. the rivers can get intense but most of it was mild and just awesome. if your lucky you'll get the guide I had Ben. one of the best at the company. Aussi guy he says (al-ooomini-um) for aluminum lol I gave him a hard time. any way good luck and if you go have a blast!!! lots of stops and water falls and hidden treasures down in the canyon that they will take you to.

Please, I am a Municipal Finance officer, and have over the past years been working in so many deprived districts as well as deprived communities throughout the country. I have had the opportunity to help a lot more people but that is not from my own resources but the district assemblies resources. This is sometimes not enough for all the people we meet in these communities , it has been the will of some of the staff who are touched to try their best to help these needy persons within communities and beyond. I t has been my personal conviction to always stretch my hands to do the little I can in this direction. I have been part of the management team which have had loadable programmes to develop people in to further their education , provision of infrastructural development , environmental issues , improving revenue collection in the districts , preparation of composite budget for the district , providing leadership for the people within the compact area staff and beyond . I wish to state further that through several training programmes , workshops etc I am able to fit into all these activities and have made a real impact in these directions .

I have gained so much experience such that I am so much confidence in whatever I decide to do .

Let me state further that to get so much interest and insight into whatever I set for myself I have over the years pursued MBA in management, current pursuing another MBA in Leadership, this will test to the fact that I am more than prepared to take upon myself whatever I wish to do.

I have been able to manage a larger span of control over the years at the work place and have gained so much respect for myself as well regarding my interest I have developed over the years. I need loan to do so much on my own self myself and others aw well , especially the needy because if you educate the young ones you will give hope to the next generation and as well reduce poverty in our society.

      Thank you.
