Travel tips for Gold Coast in Australia!
If you like beaches and theme parks...
Since I just came back from Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia 2 weeks ago...
Let me give some of you travellers tips if you haven't been there!
Gold Coast is all about beaches and theme parks, so...
-SkyPoint Observation Deck
The view is absolutely stunning! Definitely worth all the money if you want to see the full view of the whole beach! I spent hours up there last time!
-Surfers Paradise Beach
It has a long coastline, last time I spent hours laying on the beach. It has night markets too.
-Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
If you like birds (especially Lorikeets) and Koalas, you can get to hold a Koala (not legal in NSW state which Sydney is in!) and feed the Lorikeets very closely, they will fly on you and all over you!
Very interesting indoor place with neon lights in dark rooms, you will have to find the exit to each room.
-Movie World, Sea World, Dreamworld, Whitewater World
They have shows and rides. Sea World is for younger children, Movie World is like Universal Studios, and Dreamworld is VERY exciting. Whitewater world is just right next to Dreamworld, it is a water theme park.
Don't hesitate if you think you are interested! The more you think the more you are not going to do it! For bungy jumping, you might have to go to Cairns!
YHA- there are two YHAs! One is near the airport, one is near Surfers Paradise. I went with my friend last time and we shared a room together, we did not have to share with others. YHA is really cheap, tidy and clean!
I only paid AU$100 for a return trip from Sydney to Gold Coast! I chose the low season and I got a AU$50 birthday voucher from an Australian travel agency!
Travel around by trams and buses! Get the GO card and top up in convenient stores, can be refunded at the airport!!
Anyway, keep traveling, everyone!!
