Spectacular sea life

HOTELS and TOURISM - For anyone who is bored with a “normal” hotel and is looking for a new experience, there are some pretty spectacular hotels in the world. The greatest hotels are built partly under water.

They offer rooms that are situated some meters under the sea or ocean. Through the glass ceiling and walls you experience ocean life as it happens, like in a bubble.

Underwater rooms are in existing hotels like the Manta Resort on Pemba Island, Indian Ocean, and in the Hilton Maldives. Some even more amazing underwater hotel projects are being planned, mainly in Dubai and Fiji. All exotic locations with spectacular sea life, surely worth seeing.

Do you think you can handle it?

Just imagine: you don’t need to go diving or have any experience with it to enjoy the underwater world. All you have to do is relax and look around you. At night the water around the hotel is usually light, attracting many sea creatures, from fish to dolphins to sharks. You could even wonder who is actually looking at who.

Sounds great, doesn’t it? It’s a once in a lifetime experience, something really special. There are some drawbacks of course. Mainly, underwater hotels are expensive. And if you have the money, you might have other worries. You certainly should not watch any shark movies like Jaws or other films where aquariums burst and people get washed away. Some people think that they will get seasick or be without contact with the rest of the world – which is not true.

Ultra-Luxury Private Submarine Comes With a Pool

A Submarine Hotel - The Best Luxury Travel Experience Ever

SUBMARINE HOTEL - Did you like my last post about underwater hotels? Then you will love this one. At a slightly higher price (just € 285,000 per night, all services included) you can rent your own submarine hotel room!

Yes , it is in an actual submarine by the name of Lovers Deep. You board your hotel in the Caribbean. A speedboat - or helicopter, if you want - will transfer you to the hotel.

Lovers Deep features an en-suite hotel room, with separate sleeping and living areas. Both have windows, giving you a magnificent view of the ocean and sea life around your room. They say the underwater silence is amazing, that it’s a really special experience.

You get free champaign and food, your own butler, and you have a two-person shower. The food served is full of aphrodisiacs such as oysters, caviar and chocolate – probably to ensure that the guests’ fantasies of a romantic stay actually come true, avoiding complaints..

Rose petals and Barry White music are optional. Some people will love this, while others might think that's a bit too much or have a different taste in romance.

The trip includes spending some time on a private beach as well - in case you get tired of the small space inside the submarine.

Unfortunately, this submarine hotel experience is pricy, not for my budget. I’ll keep an eye out for special offers on this one. What's worth checking out is Oliver's Travels, they have come up with a "Miles Low" club for this hotel.

Luxury Submarine Hotel Offers Romantic Undersea Adventure

Living and staying under water

And how about this one? It's one thing to visit a hotel, but it's often too expensive, especially a submarine hotel. But maybe, at some point in the future, we will all live under water. If you look at this image, you can imagine what a future underwater city might look like. More and more underwater hotels will be built in the near future anyway. If this is done in a clean and environmentally friendly way, it is a great experience.

Would You Go? Then plan your next trip to an underwater hotel in an ocean near you.
