Vacations in Germany

Updated on November 25, 2011

Wonderful German Vacations

Germany is a wonderful country to vacation. It is filled with a rich history, world class architecture and phenomenal culture. It is one of the most luxurious countries in the entire world with the finest cuisine, greatest museums and the most generous people. Traveling to Germany is to find yourself back in the nape of the comfort and security of the German people.

There are obvious reason to go to Germany like the terrific Operas, Museums, Cultural Centers, but it also Germany maintains its balance with nature as well. Only in Germany can you stand in a Museum and be 30 minutes away form a hiking trail.

Like Italy, Germany can’t be seen a few weeks. You should pick a destination and utilize your time well. I always buy a sight seeing book. I can’t tell you how many times I have stood at ruins and wondered why they were tourist attractions because they were ruined but when I read the sight seeing book I understood the contextual meaning of the attraction. I also like to explore on my own. I don’t ever want a guide unless it is a local friendly. I did Paris this way and highly recommend making foreign friends. But I am the exception and not the rule. So it might behoove you to contact a tour guide service.

I also recommend trying a Cruise on the Rhine. It is beautiful and I encourage you to interact with the German people who I find to be the most dear hearted generous people in the world. I should be clear I haven’t seen all of the world but I can image no greater people than Germans with the exception of perhaps the AmericansJ.

Wow isn't Gerd Muller a soccer player?

Yes, I have been to Germany and this was only an introductory hub. I was specifically not specific so what errors? You have something aganst Luftsansa?

What does George Bush have to do with this hub? BTW, Bush is a German so why do you dislike Bush the son of Germany? Be careful JEB is running.

Collin H. No Gerd Muller has not done Germany any favors because I just attested to the generosity of Germans and he just slapped down American Tourism to Germany.

The purpose of the Hub was to tell tourists that the dreaded German temper was dead and Germany was open for tourism. The Hub also to provided logistical support into Germany. Those are tourist dollars being spent in Germany. And these reponses have just discouraged tourism.

Too bad these response were so hard. I guess Germany will not benefit from tourism.

I think Gerd Muller was a bit hard on you but you certainly do Germany no favours. Best to keep off subjects you don't seem to know much about.

This is one of the worst Hubs I have seen.

Very badly written with many errors.

You should be banned from what is usually an interesting and informative sight. I doubt you were ever in Germany and to think the Americans might be even greater than the Germans must be meant as a joke. The Americans rate well below almost every nationality in the world. They were even stupid enough to give George Bush a second term.
