Beacon Hill Park is a beautiful green space that connects the city to the ocean. The 62 acre park has been managed by the City of Victoria since 1882. The Coast Saalish name for the park is Meeacan - meaning belly.
The park is a wonderful places for tourists and locals alike. It offers landscaped gardens, water fountains, a water park, band shell for concerts, two play parks for children, a petting zoo, puting green and hosts various intercultural events throughout the year.
The park does not allow vendors but right on the edge of the park on Government, towards the ocean you will find the Beacon Hill Drive In a great place for a snack or ice-cream
