Victoria BC - Places to Visit. Mattick's Farm in pictures.
Mattick's Farm - an oasis for all the family to enjoy
According to those who knew him Bill Mattick the once owner of the land that is now Mattick's Farm and Golf Course was larger than life. A brief history of Bill can be found at : http://www.saywardhill.com/blog/?cat=27.
Today Mattick's Farm offers visitors and locals a delightful oasis to spend the day or part therof eating, shopping, taking time for a spa treat, playing mini golf, or the real thing at the golf course next door.
Situated in Cordova Bay, near Victoria in Saanich on Vancouver Island you can visit Mattick's Farm by bus, by car or by bike. On fair weather days a steady stream of cyclists take in the eye catching view of the Saanich Peninsula over top of the houses.
The unique collection of arts and crafts stores, clothing and designer boutiques are a refreshing change from high street chain stores and big box store shopping. The supermarket offers fresh and mostly locally grown fruit and vegetables and Vancouver Island raised meats.
Both the" tea garden" in which you can get amazing breakfasts and lunch or afternoon tea in Mattick's Farm and the restaurant at the golf course next door have a wide variety of home cooked food - for a casual snack or a full course lunch with excellent wine at quite reasonable prices.
