Vilamoura is Europe’s largest private tourist development with an area of over 1600 hectares and with five internationally renowned golf courses!

Cupertino de Miranda, the idealist that wanted to supply a luxury holiday resort for all began to project his ideas in the sixties and developed around its trade name and focuses to the main centre being built as the Vilamoura marina.

Vilamoura marina is encircled by hotels and resorts, restaurants and fashion shops and very close by, the Vilamoura Casino with its famous Blackjack Discotheque. This is the ideal spot to see the famous or even those who wants to be seen!

Vilamoura is notoriously known by travelers around the world as the entrance to the Algarve via Atlantic Ocean, for those who love to cross sailing through the seas.

The Romans knew that two thousand years before and there is evidence to tell this tale! The archaeological station in Vilamoura clearly shows the importance of its strategic location!

Vilamoura is not only about the summer, the marinas commotion and activity is also year round. Even on sunny winter days the coffee shops attract the residents, golfers, visitors and sailors. Summer or winter, Vilamoura´s marina is always full of folks walking from one end to another and then back again, admiring the boats, shops and even meeting friends on the way!

Because the marina of Vilamoura is full of swinging masts and power boats year round, there is another phase to expand the marina that is currently underway! This includes as well more luxury homes around the new expanded Vilamoura marina.

Vilamoura to many is the place to start your night! After enjoying a meal on one of the many marina side restaurants, there are quite a few bars with just your kind of music where you can have a cool relaxing drink with your friends.

From here on the pick is yours if you feel like dancing the night away with the many dance clubs to choose from!
