What Did You Do Today - I Visited Lake Constance & Konstanz/Constance.

Updated on June 23, 2013

What I Did Today

Today I took a bus from Ravensburg and then took a boat ride over Lake Constance to Konstanz/Constance. Yes, I took pictures and yes, I have videos. Calm yourself quickly and I shall, ermm begin..

Lake Constance is a lake connected to the Rhine and it lies at foot of the Alps. The lake also is present within three different countries: Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.

I found the air and the views on my way over the lake to be really amazing but alas and hooray at the same time, I could feel that Autumn is most definitely on its way as it gently gnawed at my under protected body! I was glad the weather did not permit any rain to fall.

I also I learnt today that I need invest in a new hat!

I found the areas (on either side of the lake) quite nice and generally friendly. Restaurants were abundant and due to the time of the year, they were not really very busy at all. I personally cannot stand visiting busy restaurants. This is mainly due to having worked in kitchens through my youth. Due to this, I know the quality and service well generally drop if you visit a busy restaurant.

I was greedy and ate some junkish food and finished up with a pistachio ice cream, or was it mint. Actually, I think it was both!

I walked around the Konstanz and took in all the views.

I love the pictures! How come the lake has an "English" name and the town has a "Germanic" name?
