What Do You Want To Do In Virginia?!?!

Updated on June 13, 2015

Hot Dang!! The summer is here! Now what do you want to do? Lets start on the Eastern Shore. Chesapeake Bay and Virginia beaches offer a great selection of seafood and local craft brews. Is it the night life and the boardwalk like most tourists crave, or the laid back local restaurants, relaxed beaches, and quietness that you desire? Virginia is the place!

Moving West you can visit Jamestown,Yorktown, and Williamsburg. While Williamsburg offers theme parks like Bush Gardens, Water Country, and Great Wolf Lodge. With a brewery next to Bush Gardens there is always somthing good to sip on!! Jamestown and Yorktown will take you back to the colonial times. You will find numerous hidden river beaches to take a cool dip in!

However, just because its summer does not mean you HAVE to head towards water. Why not try some of the food and wine you would come across in Charlottesville. With an abundance of wineries and breweries nearby, I'm sure there is fun around every corner.

Now keep heading north and visit Luray Caverns where moonshiners and miners roamed the majestic caves! But if in the right season, definitely try some of those sweet Virginia apples that you will find in the scattered orchards on the ride more north. Skline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway offer some great photo opportunities of changing leaves and incredible mountain scenery! Stay the night and camp if you choose, at some of the most beautiful state parks on the east coast.

So last but not least, if you come to the capital of Virginia, the city of Richmond and it's tri-cities. You will find some of the best food and local brews. With no shortage of bars and nightclubs take advantage of the luxurious hotels in the city.

With this being said, when you come to Virginia bring yourself tons of energy, some sun screen and an appetite for delicious meals and brews. Don't be scared to explore the whole state, there is tons of fun things to do with the family or friends!!
