Why Should You Visit Malaysia

Updated on March 28, 2015

Malaysia has become a popular tourist spot in Asia, but does that means should spend your precious free or family time there. Let find out in this article. Before that let's discuss about Malaysia a little bit. The name Malaysia comes from the words Malay and the Latin-Greek suffix, sia. Malaysia's nation language is Malay which was used to be called Melayu. Malaysia national plant is the hibiscus while it's national animal is the tiger. Most of Malaysia is populated by Muslims. Now, Let's continue with the main topic. If you want to know more about Malaysia, consult the Wikipedia.

1. Cultural Dishes

Malaysia is know for variety of dishes. Roti channai is a type of dish which looks like a pancake, stretched out and slight overcooked. Despite it's looks, roti channai tastes delicious, but it mainly depends where you're dining. At some restaurants, the dish is very hard and dry while at others, the dish is soft and stretchy. There are also Chinese dishes like quah tee hwah, mee hiun soup, laksa and lots more. Indian dishes include chapathi, curry, ithli and more. Other dishes Malaysia has is nasi lemak, nasi ayam and nasi goreng. There are still many kinds of cultural dishes, but these are what I can think of now.

2. Scenery

Cameron Highlands and Genting Highlands are places filled with lush greenery. Genting Highlands's has many spot where there is full of greenery. Sadly, most of the places are off limits. Cameron Highlands, however has many farms which you can visit. There's a strawberry farm where you can hand pick strawberries. Cameron Highlands also has a tea garden and a cafe where they serve freshly brewed tea.

3. Fun and Relaxation

Cities like Cameron Highlands, Genting Highlands and Port Dickson is perfect for relaxation. Port Dickson has many beaches where the waves don't make much sound. Cameron Highlands and Genting Highlands are both chilly cites. It will be like sleeping in a giant refrigerator. You can do many fun activities at Genting Highlands like horseback riding, cable car, pedal power boats, a room with a 360o projector, an eagle farm and lots more.

Make sure you have all your traveling documents. The people of Malaysia may be friendly, but not the police. If they find one document missing, they'll lock you up and will demand a high amount of money. I have heard that lots of Nigerian were locked up because they did not have Visa, but the policeman demanded a higher amount. This will be the end of the article, thank you for reading and have a good day.
