Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas Review
One of the classiest hotels on The Strip
If you want to stay someplace luxurious on the Las Vegas Strip, you can't do much better than the Wynn Hotel and Resort. It's received the Mobil 5 Star, AAA 5 Diamond, and Michelin 5 Red Pavilion award. Now I know some of those awards don't mean that much because they're basically one corporation paying off another corporation so they can get more business, but the Wynn really is a class act. Since it's less than a decade old, it's more luxurious than other upscale hotels like the Bellagio. In fact, really only the Venetian/Palazzo and the new Cosmopolitan and Aria hotels can rival the Wynn in luxuriousness. Here's a little guide on getting to the Wynn from McCarren airport.
Hotel room review
You can see some great pictures of the rooms at the Wynn on their website, if you can get it to load. Hopefully someday Steve Wynn will spend a small part of his billions of dollars for a webmaster who has a clue.
Room prices start around $240 a night and go up from there. The basic room is the Deluxe Resort King, which I guess is a fancier name than "the basic room". The room has more cream colors than the interior of the house on The Golden Girls, but it's still really nice. For the money, I'd recommend staying next door at a suite in The Palazzo. It'll cost you about the same, but you'll get more than the 640 square feet offered by the Wynn, and The Palazzo is not a big step back in luxury.
A corner room at the Wynn will cost you about $300 a night, but the views are unbelievable. You'll be able to see The Strip, the rest of Las Vegas, and the desert and mountains as a backdrop. Absolutely incredible.
The suites in the Wynn are some of the best you'll find. For about $800 a night, the Salon Suite will give you something similar to what you saw in The Hangover, just a bit smaller. The furniture and decor are incredible. You'll think you're in a millionaire's palace.
