He was known for his music, his style and flamboyance as well as for his generosity in supporting many organizations and charities. If you are an Elvis fan, there are plenty of events, including musical tributes, anniversary celebrations, look-a-like contests, impersonators and festivals, scheduled year-round to ensure you get plenty of Elvis sightings.


Parkes Elvis Festival

Central New South Wales, Australia

Second week of January 2011

Parkes hold a 5-day party to commemorate the King's January 8th birthday. Join thousands of Presley fans and impersonators for the fun and festivities. You can hop aboard one of the special Countrylink trains for the hour ride from Sidney, Australia. Past events have included a Elvis Gospel Church service, street parade, Elvis Golf day and Miss Priscilla beauty contest.

Elvis Presely Continentals

32nd Annual Festival and Car Show

Kissimmee, Florida

February 25 -- February 27, 2011

This event is held at the Ramada Orlando Celebration Resort and Convention Center. Proceeds from this small festival are donated to the Russell Home for Disabled Children. Events include musical selections by Elvis tribute artists, Elvis memorabilia, Elvis Goes West dinner show and a Elvis Gospel show. The last day features a car show. Tickets start at $10.00.


Scout Rock at Graceland

Memphis, Tennessee

March 26, 2011

Graceland opens the doors to hundreds of Boy and Girl Scouts on this day which includes a tour of the Graceland mansion, Lisa Marie Airplane and the Elvis Presley Car Museum. There are planned activities for the Scouts. Tickets are $15.00. 


Viva Las Vegas

Las Vegas, Nevada

Home of frequent Elvis sightings, Las Vegas, pays homage to The King everyday. Cirque du Soleil presents a music tribute -- Viva Elvis -- at the Elvis Theatre at the Aria Resort in the new City Center. Tickets start at $99.00.

Yearly, thousands of couples make use of the services of another Vegas landmark, the Graceland wedding chapel. For 50 years, this small chapel has been home to Elvis themed weddings complete with a singing Elvis impersonator.

Hail to the King

Cleveland, Ohio

Want a real up-close and personal encounter with Elvis -- book 'em. John Jensen performs as Elvis and incorporates all three stages of his career, and since he is willing to travel up to 3,000 miles from his home base of Cleveland, just about any U.S. location will do. This is the 17th year for this huge festival of Elvis fans and Elvis wannabes. Expect over 50 downtown activities includng an evening with Elvis dinner, pancake breakfast, dinners shows, and, of course, Elvis competitions. Collingwood is two hours from Toronto.

Pocono Mountains Elvis Festival

The Pocono Mountain area is home to 150 lakes and is known for its breathtaking ambiance including delightful waterfalls. This festival honors the "music, life and fans of Elvis Presley." This event is considered one of the largest outside of Memphis, Tennessee.

This cruise departs from Jacksonville and travels to Nassau in the Bahamas. Join hundreds of Elvis fans as they party to 70's disco night, enjoy a night celebrating Elvis movies or revisit their high school years when they attend Homecoming Night. Fares start at $599.00

Graceland Estate Christmas Lighting Ceremony

Memphis, Tennessee

November 2011 (date tba)

Last year, American Idol winner, Lee DeWyze, and a Red Cross blood recipient engage the switch to kickoff the official holiday celebration at Elvis Presley's home, Graceland. The mansion will be decorated for the holiday season and Santa will drop in for photo ops with the kids. The lighting ceremony is free; however, you have to pay an admission price to tour the mansion. The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be on site.


Night of 100 Elvises

Baltimore, Maryland

This is the 18th edition of this event which benefits charity. Over 100 artists will provide entertainment on three stages. This event includes classic cars, food and all night musical tributes with 12 bands and 12 Elvis tribute artists.

January 2012

Elvis Cruise 2012

January 12 - 16, 2012 (date Tba)

Elvis fans should get on board to help commemorate the 35th Anniversary of Elvis. The cruise will feature musical tributes, performances and a look-a-like contest. Elvis' friends, co-stars and band members will be in attendance. Further details will be forthcoming.
