I live in Texas...it's hot here.  We usually hit temps over 100 in the July timeframe.  The fact that it is hot is a function of two things...heat and humidity and we have both here.  We have warm temps created by large lingering high pressure systems and we have a draw of gulf moisture which drives up the humidity level.  Humidity is somewhat like wind chill in that it makes the real temperature feel even worse.  With the humidity, a 100 degree day in Dallas is very uncomfortable if you are outside.  That's what too hot is all about! Wear less clothes. Sit in front of a fan. Use a spray bottle. Apply an ice pack on my neck. Swim in the pool or ocean.
