Increased airport security hasn't changed how often I fly. I did have a somewhat surreal experience when I flew to England from the USA and was 6-7 months pregnant. I was pulled out of the line to go through the metal detector and my belly was felt up while all the other passengers shook their heads and tutted.
I think the security guard felt bad, but it was still a strange experience. Besides that time, I actually get checked less than I used to. I traveled a lot on my own all over the world and would get "randomly selected for additional screening" 90% of the time. I'm guessing it was some sort of mule profiling.
But pregnant lady profiling?? We can be dangerous :). I saw a woman who had to take off her light tailored jacket even though she only had a see-through camisole underneath! They didn't have curtained rooms available.
