    How is the economic crisis in Greece affecting tourists at the moment

    I'm off to a Greek island in a couple of weeks and wondering how prices of food and drink have been affected there. Has anyone had any first-hand experience?

    I went to Kefalonia at the end of last August, so I know it isn't recently but Greece was affected by the economic turmoil back then, too. I was also worried about how they had been affected given all the horror stories I'd heard. I found the cost of food and drink very reasonable, in comparison to a visit to Rhodes the year before. Even if the prices are higher for food and drink this year, you may not notice the increase so much as you'll be receiving more euros to the pound.

      thanks hollie, I'm going to Kefalonia too. Like you say, the exchange rate is pretty good at the moment, so I'm not too worried.
