How many times have you moved in your life? Which move was the most stressful?

I've moved about six times in my life. Four of those were to overseas locations from my native Japan. 1) Los Angeles 2)Sydney, Australia  3)Madison, Wisconsin and 4) Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Coming back from Madison and Waterloo were both stressful.

I grew up traveling-- at least ten different schools in three different countries before I was seventeen.  And since then?  How to count all the moves??  No idea.  The most stressful move so far was when I arrived where I am now and realized I wasn't going to be moving again soon.

It is three times. From my Native state to....1)Bangalore, 2)Hyderabad after marriage and now to Switzerland.........and everytime  though I have to leave behind a lot of memory and things, still I enjoyed the move somehow....The stress went unnoticed because of the excitement probably.

I've moved three times but all within the same town.  The most stressful was when I was five years old.  I had just started school and had to move to another school, leaving all my friends behind.

I have not moved a lot of times so i really can not say I spent all 12 years of school in the same school. When I got married i have moved a few times but it was not stressful.

Oh wow! Before military - about 5 times or so - some too young to remember
(you know divorced parents and etc) - but all in Southern Cali.

    Military:    Alameda, CA
                to Petaluma, CA
                to Kodiak, Alaska
                to Honolulu, Hawaii (several places)
to Staten Island New York (and then to Plainsboro, New Jersey but still working in Staten Island)
to San Francisco, CA (Pleasanton & Dublin)
and last but not least Denton, Texas.

Apartments, houses, and cities I actually lived in within each duty station - too too many to count!!

Most stressful - all of them - haha. Hmmm - each one has it's own type of stress and problem. This most recent one - has taken the most out of me.

Japan is one of my "bucket list" places to visit!

Good Question - gives you lots to think about.

I've moved a lot, from around the city to around the world. I think my most stressful move was from Romania to Italy because I was 7 months pregnant at the time! It was a 24 hour drive...not the kind of drive you want to do when you're pregnant and have to pee 20 times a day! We didn't have anywhere to live when we arrived. With a car packed full of our stuff and me being ready to pop, it was definitely a scary time!

I have moved 3 times from the Philippines. To Germany, Ireland then back to Germany. But within Germany I think 6 times. The most stressful one was in moving to Germany from the Philippines. It was all my first time in my life...1st flying, 1st foreign country, 1st dark bread....and the most stressful of them all was the 1st homesick for missing my family in my native country. But as you see, I survived the stress;-) Thanks for asking. I would never knew how strong I am;D

Believe it or not, only twice. I'm from a very small village, and I moved about three blocks down the street right after we got married, and again, seven months later into the house next door to the home I grew up in that had belonged to my grandparents. Second move a little more stressful, since we had to incorporate all of our belongings into a house that was already filled with my grandmother's things.

I have moved locations with my family many times but the most stressful were the two major move overseas. It was also very sad to leave the first overseas location that we've moved into because of the good memories and the good life that we had in that country.

These two major moves were also a learning process for us in adapting to the new culture. I'm glad we managed and didn't really have difficulties connecting.

Where we are right now is alright but I foresee another major move in a years time.

I've moved 22 times in my life of 60 years.  The most stressful was moving our family from California to Fort Wayne, IN so my husband could go to Concordia Theological Seminary.  It was a long drive, one car, one rented moving van, 2 dogs, one cat and 2 tiny children. I was a nervous wreck. It took us 6 days.

I've moved often, but never very far.  The most stressful move was, ironically, the shortest one.  It took my family on a few blocks across the city, but the circumstances surrounding the move were a pain, to but it mildly.  Extended family can be more trouble than they're worth.

I have moved eighteen times during my life.  My most stressful move was to Germany.  My son was only a couple of months old and I had to drive my vehicle from Colorado to St. Louis for shipment.  I drove all the way and checked in to a hotel.  I was flying out the next day.  My bags were all packed and ready to go only to realize I had left my son's passport in Colorado.

Three.....When I was 12 we moved from a suburb in a larger city to a rural area on a ranch. My Dad got me a horse, and that was what sealed the deal since I did not want to move from all my friends Girl Scouting and  the school my brother and I attended. Not to mention too my friends at Church where I had gone all my life.
The next move was back to the larger city where I became married and had my only daughter, and these were happy years, struggles, but happy. My next move was to Indiana almost 10 years ago and it was a happy move. I am where I was intended to be and love knowing I will not be moving anymore!!

I've moved 6 times in my life so far. All of them in the same state except once when we moved to Washington and then back to Oregon again. The most stressful move had to be last year when my family and I had a week to get everything out of the house and travel back and forth day and night forty miles at a time dropping off and picking up stuff. It was horrible, and so was that landlady. Boy, she was a witch.

too many times to count, I love traveling and visiting other places. The most stressful one was from Germany to Argentina. Not because I took many things but because of the excitement and fear of what was to come.
