First of all visit the Royal Pavillion, a beautiful palace built between 1789 and 1823 for the then Prince Regent, later King George IV. Within its grounds is the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery. Nearby are the South and North Laines shopping areas, full of old, quaint interesting and arty shops and lots of fantastic places to eat, all variety of foods. Preston Manor is on the outskirts of Brighton and is an historic manor open to the public. The Booth museum of natural history is fascinating. Visit the seafront with its bars and shops and places to eat, and the Brighton Pier. Brighton Marina is worth a visit for the shops bars and free parking.
