The Erasmus Programme has enabled many people to travel to some wonderful places as part of their studies, I agree that anywhere that feels like a second home is indeed special. many thanks for your answer.
Tanks Diana, i am a big fan of Elvis too, but have never had the honour of going to Graceland, i can imagine it would have been a truly memorable experience though.
Oh yes, Graceland is a wonderful experience. I am fortunate to live about an hour and a half away, so I plan to go back there very soon.
We have been to Graceland and sang Paul Simon's song of title in the parking lot before going it - fun! A memory my kids talk about often.
Wow, you are a seasoned traveller for sure. i'd be very interested to read about your travels to Sweden.
That must be a big aquarium! Sounds fantastic.
I would love to visit the Victoria Falls, unfortunately I didn't have the time to visit when i was in Africa. many thanks for your answer.
Just thought of a third place! - The Geiranger Fjord in Norway - wow, talk about spectacular!
I have often considered a cruise of the Norweigen Fjords as the photos i have seen have been stunning, but reckon they would be better in summer. Does it get too chilly for a cruise in the winter months?
dommcg, we were there in July 2012 and it was about 15 to 16 degrees Celsius. I'd say the Winters are very cold!
There is a nearby town called Hell - named thus because when the first 'western' explorers visited the area, they were struck by the jagged rock formations and remarked "This mist be what Hell is like!"
Postcards from here are stampled "Hell"
Thank you for providing the feedback in reference to my previous travel post about that place called Hell on Cayman Islands. Very interesting about those first western explorers and there encounters with the jagged rock formations.
Oh my goodness, that would be amazing to see!
Thanks freecamping aussie, i'm not sure where the horizontal falls are, but will have a look on google as they sound interesting.
