If you need to "write" envelope.. It is spelled E N V E L O P E,
The question is how to write envelope not write AN envelope.
Writing a letter has become a thing of the past... So the art of writing an envelope has also been lost in our technology based world.
There is a standard, basic format. A return address (the address of origin) is placed in the upper right corner, about 1/4" from the edge and about 1/4" from the top. The sending address should begin half way down from the top and about 1/4" right of center.
The first line should include the name of the person/place of reciever. The 2nd and 3rd lines should have the street address, including apartment number or floor number. The 3rd or 4th line is generally the city, state and then zip code. If it is an international envelope, the last line should have the name of the country of destination.
