I haven't visited or lived in that many. Visits as a tourist or traveller hardly ever reveal what it would be like to live there in the long term. There are some awful places in the Middle East, places I've passed through but wouldn't like to live. Sri Lanka (called Ceylon when I saw it) looks pretty good. Not so good now, I expect, after a long and bloody civil war.
Have lived in Papua-New Guinea; beautiful but unhealthy in the long term for white people. My favourites would be my own country, Australia, and New Zealand, where I lived for two-and-a-half years.
