south east asia for sure, more specifically thailand. being from canada i am all to familiar with winter weather and two years ago while studying for exams I also realized I had had enough of the cold.

South East Asia is extremely cheap, a meal and a large beer for 3 or 4 dollars, and the sites are amazing. Its a tropical climate so you can expect 40 degree weather and even in rainy season there is a lot of sunshine.

I am actually working on a hub about thailand right now. So check back with me later!

Inside your own head.  You can create a paradise of your current circumstances or a hell, whichever you prefer or are accustomed.

    DnL,
well I really haven't got the money for a winter get away
and lately since I'm out of work I seem to lay in bed all day

I guess it would be nice to take a short vacation and relax
it's said that it reduces stress preventing heart attacks

    I guess for me a B & B would be the place I'd go
or maybe a cabana, along the gulf of Mexico

it really doesn't matter much cause like I said I'm broke
too broke to pay attention is no longer just a joke

I'll go where ever you suggest so long as it ain't far
and won't require any nights spent sleeping in my car

'cause like you said it's winter time and here in the mid-west
snow's been known to fall until it's halfway to my chest

and walking to the mailbox for an unemployment check
that isn't coming anymore is making me a nervous wreck

where I'd really like to go if I could ask for anything
is back to sleep and wake to find, that now somehow, I am in "SPRING"

Yesterday, January 12, 2011 only one state in America did not have snow - Florida.
However, this morning (at 08:00ET), it was 28F degrees in north Florida and a lovely 36 degrees in the Tampa area.

My pick for a warm get-away would be Jamaica, where currently the high temps are in the 80's and lows in the 70's.
