Autumn in New Zealand
The Autumn Season in New Zealand
Autumn in New Zealand does not occur in October -- October is actually our Spring season!
The season of fall is just as beautiful as in many parts of the world and one of New Zealand's most famous places to visit to see the colors of autumn is the historical village of Arrowtown. A picture of part of this lovely town is shown here.
The photos on this lens illustrate the beauty of New Zealand and the photographers have kindly allowed their use.

Each year in April the historic gold mining town of Arrowtown holds its harvest festival celebrating the beauty of the tree lined streets in autumn shades of red and gold. The town is famous for its wonderful heritage buildings that make the town a living museum. Arrowtown is in the Queenstown Lakes district of New Zealand’s South Island.

Central Otago is in the South Island of New Zealand. Being inland it has its own microclimate and the temperatures there can be extreme...very hot and very cold. And very beautiful too!
Central Otago is the most southerly wine growing area in the world and also boasts the highest vineyards in New Zealand.
Steve is a talented photographer and more of his work can be found on his Nature blog

New Zealand Sauvigon Blanc is Well Known Worldwide
Sauvigon Blanc is one of my favorite white wines. this wine from the Marlborough region of the South Island is one I recently tried and it's delicious. The conditions fr the 2012 and 2013 growing period was particularly favorable for this type of wine making the Jules Taylor OTQ Sauvignon Blanc 2013 a great harvest that we can now enjoy.
