Greystone - Yonkers NY

Greystone is a small community located in Westchester county just north of downtown Yonkers NY. It has great views and easy commuting with trails and park nearby. There are shopping and great restaurants as well. A great place to live.

The Top Five Reasons Greystone is the Best Hudson-river-town

  • location...
  • fantastic river view
  • proximity to NYC
  • Metro North train stop
  • historic region

Greystone is a river town just North of NYC in Yonkers, NY

Recently, it has under gone a transformation. There is a new effort from Albany to improve the public education system in Yonkers. There is a new shopping center under construction on North Broadway, where the old Thompson building is located. It is expected to open in the Fall of 2016. In addition, there is a luxury condominium being built by GDC with over 200 units for lease.

St. John hospital is right around the corner. A fabulous park is open to the public in the Untermyer gardens with a view of the Hudson river. A walking trail that is shaded runs along the old train track for miles. Ridgehill Mall is only 2 miles away.

View from Greystone

Having owned a coop in Greystone for the past 8 years, I can attest to the excellent amenities here in Greystone. The staff is courteous and helpful. The halls are clean and well lit. The elevators are quiet and fast. The pool is excellent and relaxing. There is an indoor garage for residents. I would recommend this facility to anyone.
