Best Places to Travel in the World

Best Places to Travel in the World Photography

Taking photos has never been so easy since the development of digital cameras. You can make as many as you like and there will always be a lot of photos that look great. As in the early days of photography it was a surprise whether your photos were okay or not.

In this lens I'm going to share a lot of beautiful photos with you from places I have been. As I make them so often I had a hard time choosing the nicest, but I think I made a great selection. This photos represent the best places in the world where I travelled. Too bad they didn't have digital cameras when I went to Australia and Tunesia, but I think this lens would be way too long if so.

Indian Summer in America - My First Best Travel Place

When I went to see my boyfriend in 2009 in America, who was there for an internship, I was there when the Indian Summer began. I never heard of that before, but I soon learned. It was beautiful to see all the colours of the leaves and I really enjoyed it. We stayed in a little remote village called Marshall in Virginia. It was so remote the leaves would be left on the ground and there were colours all around you.

We also visited the city of Washington and Philadelphia. There you didn't see much of the Indian summer but I made some (a lot actually) pretty picture there as well.

What Camera Did I Use?

Samsung DV300F Dual View Smart Camera - Black (EC-DV300FBPBUS) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)
Samsung DV300F Dual View Smart Camera - Black (EC-DV300FBPBUS) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

Once a samsung always a samsung. This is the best and most easy camera ever made. The menu and use of every new Samsung camera is very close to its previous model.

Just Enjoying the Environment

As I said before...when I first arrived in America there were leaves in all kinds of colours. It was truly beautiful. We sometimes drove for a while just to look at all those autumn colours.

The photos below will give a brief impression of what it looked like. We went to Shenandoah National Park and did a couple of hiking trails there. Very glad we didn't come across some black bears. It would have been a great photo though.

What Was The Most Impressive In Washington D.C?

I'm really sorry the first thing that came to mind was not the White House or any other great white building. I really wanted to share this enormous squirrel that was sitting on a bench near the Abraham Lincoln Memorial. The squirrels in D.C. were all very enormous and they were also a little frightening as they approached you with no fear.

And okay I will give you two nice pictures of cultural heritage :)

Two Big Cities - Philadelphia and New York

When my boyfriend had some time off we went to see Philadelphia and New York. We drove all the way from Marhsall Virginia to Washington and then to Philadelphia.

We really had a great time (the best) in Philadelphia. It's a city I want to return to once. We went to Eastern State Penitentiary that was very impressive. That's where I made the photo of Al Capone's cell. He had the most luxurious cell in the whole building.

We also went on a Halloween Ghost Tour, that was also a lot of fun. Maybe I will add a couple of photos of that night as well, but they are really dark.

In New York we went to see a musical on Broadway and did all the usual stuff visitors do. We took the guided bus tour and went shopping. Also we made a boat trip following the Skyline, that was nice!

I think New York is great, but I like the cosiness of Philadelphia better.

Love Antwerp in Belgium - Best City of Belgium

When we go to Antwerp, we go to the Zoo. The Zoo was opened in 1843 and is one of the oldest Zoos in the world.

We also went relaxing on a terrace and drinking some refreshments. After that, we always go to a little street restaurant where they serve the best french fries in the world.

There is a lot to see in Antwerp or you just can wander around and relax. We sometimes go to the Botanic Garden, they have beautiful flowers, cactus and trees and it's inside.

Facts about ancient Egypt

We were so lucky that we have visited Egypt before all hell broke loose there. We came back home in August and in December the problems started over there. We went to all the sightings from Luxor, Gizeh, Caïro and the Valley of the Kings.

I really liked taking photos of locals and I think they are very nice. Photos of pyramids and stuff everybody have seen, so there's not much of that kind.

We were very shocked by the contrast of rich and poor. There are two photos that look like paradise, but the photo with all the trash is in the same village. Strange experience.

Portugal - Last Place We Went

The last vacation abroad was in 2011 to Portugal. We decided to go on a holiday because the weather in Holland was not that much, yeah that much rain. So we went to Portugal to a warm climate. It was beautiful and it looked really tropical.

The only thing we didn't know was that the sea was freezing cold. It almost spoiled our vacation, but when we heard in Holland it was still raining all the time we were very happy to be in Portugal. We didn't do much there, only relaxing and enjoying our time together.

Egypt seems to be a place of real contrasts. We never made it there, as there were problems when we travelled. Glad you enjoyed it though.
