Learn Spanish during your Coffee Break

Got 15 minutes?

At 50 years old I've decided I'd like to travel to Spanish speaking countries. The problem; I don't speak any Spanish, and was quite nervous about trying to learn.

First I tried Rosetta Stone, and although it's a great program and is working for my husband really well I found that I wasn't retaining the info, the language. Next I went to a beginner Spanish class, with no success. The I found an alternate solution. After a class I was taking, one of the university students came up to me and told me about a mp3 program she had found that had really helped her learn the language. She told me she had checked out several other 'learn to speak Spanish programs' for mp3 players and this one was the best. So I went home, found the site and downloaded the program - for free.

It's been one month and I can't believe it. I'm actually retaining the Spanish I'm learning! It's a great program so I'm going to share.

Follow this link on the internet "Coffee Break Spanish" and it will take you to the Radio Lingua Network and on your way. It's great. Mark is the professor and Kara is the student. They are from Scotland so it certainly adds an element of fun to the program! Kara is actually learning Spanish live, so she asks relevant questions, Mark corrects her and makes sure everyone is getting the pronunciation correct.

I downloaded it for free from the link on their site which leads you to itunes or a couple other download site choices. It includes 80 lessons and they are all between 15 to 20 minutes long, enough time to have a coffee ;O). I redo the lessons until I know the vocabulary being taught and I move forward at my own speed, I get to set the pace - I like that. I put it on my mp3 player and study on the bus. It's easy to do, I'm making progress daily.

So if you're looking to learn Spanish and don't have huge chunks of time to spend doing it, try Coffee Break Spanish and learn at your own pace - it actually works!

Adios :O)

I have used Coffee Break French and it was amazing. This is such a great program and it's free. I downloaded it from iTunes and had it on my phone and ipad - awesome! Mark was the French teacher as well. Thanks for writing this Hub to let everyone know about the program!
