Dining at Disney World

Updated on April 23, 2014

Dining at Disney World: An Introduction

My kids are particularly fond of meeting the characters and riding the rides, and while I admit to a particular fondness for Space Mountain, that's not really what I love most about Disney World. The wife loves browsing in all the little shops, especially the ones in World Showcase at Epcot, and she really enjoys the various live shows. I don't mind either one, but what I really love about Disney World, what brings me back year after year, is the dining. From snack carts and counter service to gourmet restaurants, Disney World offers a broad spectrum of dining options. There is always something new and interesting to taste and try, so come with me on a pictorial adventure through Disney World Dining!

Liberty Tree Tavern is an overlooked gem, in my opinion. Personally, we prefer it at lunch, rather than the family style dinner.

The Plaza Restaurant at Magic Kingdom

The Plaza Restaurant is another overlooked restaurant. It is more affordable than more table service places in Disney World.

Worth a try, especially if you are not using the dining plan and want good food at a reasonable prize.

And So Many More

We've hardly scratched the surface with these pictures and videos. There are so many more places to eat and foods to try at Disney World. From international cuisine to classic American standards, you are sure to find plenty of delicious options. You might consider using the Disney Dining Plan since it allows you to pay for the dining up front as part of your vacation package. Though it is somewhat limiting (dining plans don't cover appetizers or alcohol) it does make menu prices irrelevant, so you can just choose the entree you want without considering the price.
