   When was the first time you hear of the word "Malaysia" and what impression does it gives you now?
   
   Malaysia is a small country that is hardly visible on the world map. There are more than 200 countries in the world and I believe that the average person may not even have heard of Malaysia. Tell me when was the first time you heard of the word "Malaysia" and what impression does it gives you then and now? If you have not heard of "Malaysia", say so and then say what comes to your mind when you now hear this word, "Malaysia".

   I'm proud to be Malaysian...never heard does not mean it doesn't exist.Right?. It's a matter of discovering a tiny spot in world map...

      Ctnahda, you are right if you want to know where Malaysia is. But supposing you have never heard of Malaysia and Burundi? If someone tells me Burundi, I would think it is a brand of liquor, LOL.

      Ctnahda, would I go running to do research every time someone says something I have never heard before? No, right? It all depends on interest. But the mind automatically associates the word with something on hearing it, e.g. nambikei, LOL.

      Actually, as a Malaysian, I would like to know how many people know of Malaysia and what their impression of this country. is. A min. of 30 responses is required to make a statistical inference but looking at it, it's hard to even get 5, LOL.

   Impression is one of wonder and mystery and that was in 2000 just before I went to live there. I grew to love the country and hope to retire there. Oh and the food...absolutely wonderful!

   It's when one of my aunt was going there to work and now, for me, Malaysia is a developing country with strong ties to Filipinos.
