Ravi Rajan has written a very interesting article about the richest man in the world and the city of Timbuktu, from where he ruled.

I like your article and found it very interesting, Ravi. I have always heard about going to Timbuktu, but I never knew why. The history of that once very wealthy place is amazing.

Thank for posting Ravi's article, John.

This is such an interesting historical article and intrigued me about a city I always used to refer to a remote place no one wants to go to. Now, I like to visit this place.

It was very interesting to read about so much wealth! I'm glad that Timbuktu is currently recovering from its problems.

I have been meaning to read your article for some time now but every time I tried, something came up and I forgot. Finally today tonight, I actually read it and was spellbound about what you had to share. Very interesting historical piece about Mansa Musa and the place Timbuktu that he ruled. God! So much wealth so many centuries ago. I am stunned. Thank you, for sharing such an outstanding piece. Looking forward to read many more of your articles.

Thanks, John, for sharing Ravi's great article.
