It is a village with rich history as the ongoing excavations reveal. This small piece of wetland, is inhabited by three rare species of European water-turtles that belong to the family of 'Testudinata' (Testudo Hermanii Boetgeri, Emys Orbicularis & Mauremys Caspica); all three of which are endangered and find refuge in the calm waters of the small dark water lake.
