High Falls - Rochester, New York

The High Falls of the Genesee River is an 80 ft. high waterfall with a wealth of history. Known for it's roll in coining Rochester the flour capital of the world in the early 1800's. It is also where Sam Patch, the daredevil , jumped to his death on November 13, 1829.

This is a photo of a model of the area. I took this in the museum. It shows the foot bridges to the buildings for crossing the raceway. The images below of The Center at High Falls are the buildings in this model.

      I know I've been here before. On this lens, and to High Falls in Rochester. NY located just north of my town. I corrected my missing "like", too. :) If I didn't say so before, well done and love your great photos of the area.
