Lavender Farm - Tasmania

There are many beautiful places in Tasmania to explore. One of them is the Bridestowe Estate Lavender Farm in Nabowla, roughly 1 hour drive North-East from Launceston. The best time to visit the farm is during Australia summer time (ie: Dec - Jan), when the lavender are in bloom, covering over 200 hectares of land.

There are however an entry fee charges for visitors. The entry fee are $7/person (children are free). The opening hours are from 9am - 5pm and are close during Christmas Day. There are ample of parking space available too. The best time to visit the farm is during Dec - Jan when the lavender are in full bloom. Harvesting of the lavender begins end of January.

There is also a cafe on the farm where you can have a lavender tea cuppa while enjoying the wonderful view. Also, try the home baked scones with lavender jam while you are at it. Next to the cafe is a shop that sell all things lavender. I brought this pure lavender oil that can be used as pot pouri or even mosquito repellent!

Bridgestowe Estate address: 296 Gillespies Rd, Nabowla, Tasmania
