LEGOLAND Malaysia Pictures and Information

Updated on February 25, 2013

LEGOLAND Malaysia is opening soon! The First LEGOLAND in Asia

Located in Nusajaya, Johor, Malaysia, the 76-acre theme park will open on Saturday, September 15, 2012. It will be similar to the other LEGOLAND theme parks in Denmark, England, Germany, California and Florida, with rides, shows and attractions all centered around the popular LEGO toys.

Check out my LEGOLAND and LEGO blog,, for theme park and LEGO deals!

Like the other LEGOLAND PARKS, they will feature a Miniland area filled with scale model cities and wonders of the world from Southeast Asia. Miniland is what truly sets each park apart, due to the different countries and cities featured in different LEGOLAND parks. Miniland showcases what a kid dreams of building with an unlimited collection of LEGO and all the time in the world!

LEGOLAND Malaysia will have more than 40 interactive rides, shows and attractions and is geared toward families with children from 2-12 years old.

LEGOLAND Malaysia Miniland

LEGOLAND Malaysia Miniland will feature wonders of the world from Malaysia, India, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, China, Brunei, Thailand and the list goes on... The Model Designers spent hundreds of thousands of hours crafting scale models of all of these the cities and villages out of ordinary LEGO bricks.

I worked for several years, caring for Miniland at LEGOLAND California and every day I would find something new. Whether it be a detail on a building, a unique way of using LEGO bricks or a cultural reference or joke. The level of detail in Minilands are amazing and Miniland Malaysia is set to be the best, yet.

@PaulaMorgan: Thank you! Sorry you are missing the opening by a hair. I will keep an ear out if there are any preview days that regular people can go to and post here if I hear anything. Wish I was going, but I am reluctant to fly out there with my son who will be 9 months. I think the flight will be too long for him.

We will be in Malaysia in August so we will miss the opening of Legoland but we will certainly check it out next time. Will add this to my Lego pages to spread the word!
